DC Tech Incentives
The Qualified High Technology Companies (QHTC) offers one of themost attractive incentive packages for high-tech businesses in the country. The incentive reduces the cost of doing business by providing certain credits, exemptions and other benefits for technology businesses.

The Creative and Open Space Modernization Grant fosters the development of creative and technology-focused businesses in Washington, DC with the potential for up to $5 million for qualified tenant improvements.

Supermarket Tax Credits
Through the Supermarket Tax Exemption Act of 2000, the District waives certain taxes and fees to supermarkets that locate in specific neighborhoods. The incentive encourages investment in areas lacking access to groceries and fresh food.

Tax Exempt Bond Financing - Industrial Revenue Bond Program
The District’s Industrial Revenue Bond program (IRB) provides access to tax-exempt financing to help businesses and non-profit organizations renovate and build new construction, make tenant improvements, and purchase capital. By utilizing IRB, these groups can significantly reduce their cost of capital.
